The benefit of understanding neuroplasticity is knowing that your brain structure isn't set in stone. With repetition you can strengthen existing neural pathways, and you can also learn new things which create new neural pathways.

How I might engage with the principles of neuroplasticity for my benefit

I know that is possible for me to expand my knowledge and learn new ways of thinking. With consistent practice I can establish good habits and solidify new concepts that I've learnt.

Growth mindset is a way of thinking where intelligence is viewed as something that you can change through consistent effort. It is a good mindset to have as it can help you to persist through difficulty when learning a new skill, or to make progress in work/life.

In this exploration, did anything surprise or change for me?

I've always had fixed mindset throughout life, and thought there were definite limits to what I could achieve. So learning about growth mindset gives me some optimism that I could start a new career as a developer.

How will I integrate growth mindset into my learning journey?

I will use growth mindset to motivate myself to persist when I'm struggling, and not just give up, which has usually been my tendency!
